There are a few reasons why you may not have tried out the demo
for Twisted Pixel's upcoming Kinect-enabled on-the-rails shooter The Gunstringer
. Perhaps you don't have a Kinect sensor, and are waiting to see if any games that are more to your taste will soon be appearing. Maybe you don't have a Gold Xbox LIVE membership. Well, for those of you who haven't played the demo, here is some gameplay footage on which you can feast your eyes instead.
First we have just over 90 seconds of single-player footage, showing our puppet friend work his way down a track that winds along the side of a valley. He takes out plenty of enemies along the way, and even earns himself an achievement.
For those of you that are curious, the achievement is for playing chicken with a bullet before shooting it.
Next we have two minutes of two-player gameplay footage, where two reticules of differing colour appear on the screen to aid the skeleton cowboy on his quest. Not only does he have to take care of the many enemies, he also has to avoid falling rocks and break down barriers to get to his destination safely. Once at the Chinese temple, our hero has to despatch his foes using a sword.
is due to be released on September 13th in North America and Australia, and September 16th in Europe. All new copies of the game will come with a download code for Fruit Ninja Kinect
