The Xbox sales this week have applied discounts to an impressive number of games, as well as a slew of superhero hits thanks to the DC Franchise Sale. Here are the games the TA news team think are great deals. Whether you're looking for a new game to put your Xbox Series X or S through its paces, want to add an old Xbox 360 favourite to your library via Backwards compatibility, or want to throttle the most power out of your Windows PC, the Xbox Sales usually have something for everyone. As with every week, we like to have a good look through what's been discounted and offer you a selection of games that we personally think are great games. Here is what the TA news team has found this week. Discounts from the bargain bin Heidi — Jurassic World Evolution: Expansion Collection https://youtu.be/wXHSMT69R6A Just under £14 seems like a pretty good deal for the Jurassic World Evolution: Expansion Collection, as all of the DLC included already costs over £13 for each expansion (Secrets of Dr Wu, Return To Jurassic Park, and Claire's Sanctuary). If you’ve seen our sales picks before or noticed how pleased I usually am to find any excuse to talk about Jurassic World Evolution, you’ll already know I’m a big fan, but as much as I love just designing dino parks (or releasing all their occupants) I always like having a bit more story to play through. Even being a fan, the DLC seemed fairly pricey when not on sale, so a bundle like this seems the way to go if you’re looking for more dinosaur content. Altogether, the bundle also brings you around ten new dinos — three of which are technically much newer than the others, being Dr. Wu’s hybrids. Along with the new dinos and campaign missions, you’ll also get new tools for genetic manipulation, new attractions, and new features to do with paleobotany. I thought the story for Dr Wu’s DLC was most interesting, but the story for Claire’s Sanctuary in particular was really fun. All in all, it’s a good bunch of content with the Expansion Collection being at the lowest price we’ve yet seen it at on TrueAchievements. Jurassic World Evolution: Expansion Collection Luke — Anthem https://youtu.be/DPf-EATqFng I’m not gonna pretend that Anthem is an amazing game, but it’s absolutely worth two bucks just to experience that Iron Man power fantasy and soar around a beautiful alien world. This was a game stacked with potential and while it’s fair to say that it fell a fair way short of what it could have been, it’s still a blast once you get a build together and start absolutely nuking stuff. Anthem is also included in EA Play, but if you’re not a member, it’s definitely worth a look at this crazy low price. Anthem™ Sean — Tell Me Why https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRN2VgTB-J8 Tell me why… ain't nothin' but a heartache… ok, ok, enough of that. For my sales pick this week, I’m going with the delightful Tell Me Why, which is on sale for the bargain price of $4.99/£3.74/€4.99. There’s a chance you may already own a copy of this when it was made free for Pride Month back in 2021, but if you don’t, and you’re not a Game Pass subscriber, Tell Me Why is easily worth the price it’s on sale for. Developed by Don’t Nod, Tell Me Why is a narrative adventure game that tells the story of twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan, who share a supernatural bond. After spending some time away, Tyler reunites with Alyson to uncover the truth of their conflicting childhood memories. Tell Me Why’s story is an interesting one with a neat mystery to solve, and while its plot doesn’t quite throw the visceral gut punches found in Life is Strange, you won’t regret your time exploring its themes. On top of that, it’s a pretty easy completion, and it offers up a nice 1,500 Gamerscore for your trouble, so that’s a pretty nice bonus. Now, back to the Backstreet Boys… Tell Me Why: Chapters 1-3 Tom — The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: High Isle https://youtu.be/lmwGPFjyA-E It’s that time of the year again when I drop in here with some Elder Scrolls Online goodness for you all in the hopes that I’ll convert you into fellow adventurers. Now is a fantastic time to buy into the game as well, due to The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: High Isle having 67% of its price slashed. In this bundle, you get every major expansion to date, all for a reasonable £15/$16/€18, which is ludicrously good. Plus, for only a little bit more, you can instead pick up The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: High Isle Collector’s Edition, which packs in each expansions Collector’s Edition for less than a tenner more than the base bundle. If you’ve been thinking about exploring Tamriel in ZeniMax’s MMO, this bundle is the perfect starting point, and with the upcoming Necrom Chapter looking to return us to Morrowind, the game is about to receive a huge nostalgia hit. Be warned, though, that a bundle like this contains thousands of hours’ worth of fun, so it’s quite the commitment if you decide to join in, but I assure you it’s worth it.
