Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened gets April release date

By Sean Carey,

Following months of power cuts and uncertainty due to Russia's invasion, Ukranian developer Frogwares has now managed to nail down an April release date for Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened.

Originally down to launch in late February/early March, Frogwares had to delay the next instalment into the Sherlock Home series due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, but the developer has now confirmed that Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch on April 11th.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened releases for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on April 11th

As described by Frogwares, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is a "full remake and substantial rewrite" of the original game that launched on PC in 2007. You can expect a "nerve-racking Lovecraftian adventure" where Sherlock Homes finds himself at the heart of the "legendary Cthulhu Mythos" and must investigate a mysterious cult that worships an ancient god.
