Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 announced after 16-year wait

It's been 16 years since we last saw a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game launch, but during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour this weekend, Bandai Namco revealed that a fourth instalment is in development.

If you enjoyed last year's Dragon Ball: The Breakers and want something else from the franchise to look forward to, this announcement might be for you. Fans were treated to a surprise announcement of a new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game this weekend during the annual Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour competition, 16 years after the launch of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

The Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 announcement probably comes as quite a surprise for fans, considering the last game in the series launched on PlayStation 2 and Wii. Both Bandai Namco and developer Bird Studio are yet to reveal any details about the game and have not announced platforms.
