Blizzard has "no plans" to add Diablo IV to Xbox Game Pass

By Tom West,

With the Diablo IV open beta kicking off next week ahead of its June launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Blizzard has confirmed that the game won't be heading to Xbox Game Pass.

In a move that will probably come as no surprise to many, Blizzard won't be adding Diablo IV to the lineup of games coming to Game Pass later this year. You'll need to stump up the cash if you want to play Diablo IV when it launches on June 6th for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, but next week's open beta will give you a chance to try it out.

Diablo IV won't be coming to Xbox Game Pass

In a tweet highlighting the excitement surrounding the upcoming open beta, Blizzard's senior vice president and general manager of Diablo Rod Fergusson has said that many players have asked if Diablo IV will be coming to Xbox Game Pass, confirming that the company has "no plans for that."

The Diablo IV cross-platform open beta kicks off next week on March 24th and runs through March 26th for everyone on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and other platforms, while players who've preordered will have an exclusive early access period between March 17th and March 19th. Reaching level 20 during the open beta will see you rewarded with an exclusive Wolf Pack cosmetic for the full game release.
