Far Cry 5 is now playable at a buttery-smooth native 60fps on Xbox Series X|S, thanks to a free update that's now rolling out to all players. To celebrate the game's fifth anniversary, Ubisoft has released a new update that adds "one of the most highly requested fan features" to Far Cry 5. The free update, which is available to download now on Xbox Series X|S, improves Far Cry 5's performance so players can play the open-world first-person shooter at a native 60fps. You will be able to play and unlock Far Cry 5 achievements "in 1920x1080 resolution on Xbox Series S and in 3840x2160/4K resolution on Xbox Series X." On top of the free update, Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 5 will be free-to-play on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One from March 23rd to March 27th.
