Ubisoft+ Xbox launch likely soon as Microsoft and Ubisoft begin advertising service

By Sean Carey,

It looks like Ubisoft+ could be about to launch on Xbox as both Microsoft and Ubisoft have begun advertising the game subscription service.

Update:
Ubisoft+ has now launched on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One and includes over 60 games on consoles.

Original story:
We've seen numerous indicators and rumours that Ubisoft is gearing up to launch Ubisoft+ on Xbox soon. Delving into the backend of the Microsoft Store, we found over 60 Ubisoft+ games and DLC expansions earlier this year that had been labelled with a new Ubisoft+ tag. Last month, a prolific Ubisoft leaker claimed that Ubisoft+ would roll out to Xbox players in mid-April. Now, some players have now spotted a special Ubisoft+ punch card in the Rewards app, and Ubisoft has seemingly set live a webpage early about Ubisoft+ on Xbox.

Ubisoft+ Xbox launch appears imminent

Some users have noticed a special Ubisoft+ punch card in the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox, advertising the new game subscription service. The punch card is titled: Discover Ubisoft+ and says, "Get unlimited access to fan-favourite franchises and more." Unfortunately, it doesn't lead anywhere when selected, but numerous Xbox users have reported seeing it.

Elsewhere, Ubisoft has begun advertising Ubisoft+ on its website. When navigating to the Ubisoft+ games page on the Ubisoft store and fiddling with the URL to add an 'Xbox' filter, the above page appears, saying, "Play Ubisoft+on Xbox consoles. Check out the full list of Ubisoft games available on Xbox consoles." Again, when clicked, nothing appears, but you can see a list of 49 results that show up with the Xbox filter applied. It's unclear if this is indeed the full list of games coming to Xbox with Ubisoft+ and is missing several games that we found earlier in the year.

On PC, Ubisoft charges £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 per month for Ubisoft+, which includes new releases and premium editions of games. Console pricing is yet to be revealed, but Ubisoft has previously confirmed that the service will not be included with Game Pass.
