Ubisoft+ now available on Xbox, costs more than Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

By Sean Carey,

After months of rumour and speculation, Ubisoft+ has finally launched on Xbox consoles. Xbox users will have access to more than 60 games across Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

To access Ubisoft+, Xbox users must subscribe to the Ubisoft+ Multi-Access tier, which costs a pricey $17.99 / £14.99 per month. This Multi-Access plan offers over 60 games to play on Xbox consoles, complete with all premium editions, new releases on day one, and other benefits. You'll also have access to over 100 games on PC and Amazon's Luna cloud gaming service with this tier.

The full list of Ubisoft+ games on Xbox included in the service has also been announced, and it looks similar to what we found on the back end of the Microsoft Store. With Ubisoft+, you'll be able to play games such as Anno 1800, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and more. All of these games include access to their premium-edition content and DLC packs. You can also expect new Ubisoft games to drop into Ubisoft+ when they launch on day one.

While Ubisoft+ does include new Ubisoft games on day one and premium editions of games, $17.99 / £14.99 per month is quite the ask for Xbox users who may already be subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes access to more games, EA Play, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Xbox Game Pass for PC. One benefit of Ubisoft+ on Xbox is that if you were unsure of a game and you didn't want to pay the $70 asking price Ubisoft is now asking for all of its premium releases, you could sign up for a month and play the game for cheap.

Will you be signing up to Ubisoft+? What do you make of the official selection of games on offer? Let us know down in the comments.
