90% of Xbox players won't subscribe to Ubisoft+, poll suggests By Tom West, 17 Apr 2023 FollowtopicsUbisoft+Xbox Series X|STom West Following the launch of Ubisoft+ on Xbox last week, we ran a poll asking if you would be subscribing to the service, the results of which, show that an overwhelming percentage of Xbox players won't be.For last week's poll, we asked if you'll be subscribing to Ubisoft+ on Xbox, following the service finally coming to consoles, and of more than 5,000 responses, 90% of players have said that they'll not be signing up. Seeing as Ubisoft is asking for a higher monthly price than Microsoft does for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and its vast number of benefits, it's a hard sell on Ubisoft's behalf.Majority of Xbox players won't be subscribing to Ubisoft+Last week, Ubisoft launched its subscription-based service, Ubisoft+, on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, offering players access to over 60 of the publisher's games and their accompanying premium editions, including Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and more. The service requires you to subscribe to the Ubisoft Multi-Access tier of its membership ladder, which also gives you access to over 100 games on PC and Amazon's Luna cloud gaming service. To access the content, you'll need to pay the subscription fee of $17.99 / £14.99 a month — which is noticeably higher than Xbox Game Pass Ultimate's $14.99 / £10.99 a month asking price, which gives you access to the console and PC gaming libraries, Xbox Cloud Gaming, EA Play, Ultimate Perks, and more. Our poll has received 5,251 responses so far, 133 (2.53%) players of which have said that they'll be subscribing to Ubisoft+, and 356 (6.78%) are not sure. That leaves are whopping 4,762 (90.69%) of TrueAchievements members that have responded to the poll saying that they won't be subscribing to the service. Many players have noted that the monthly asking price is too steep for a service that only offers games from a single publisher, especially games that are frequently on sale for generous discounts. Naturally, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has been mentioned a fair bit by players, with some saying that Microsoft's service offers enough games as it is, while others have said that they would rather see a small increase in price for Game Pass Ultimate to have Ubisoft+ added alongside EA Play. Do these results surprise you at all, or would you have expected players to have this response to Ubisoft+?
