What games could leave Xbox Game Pass in June 2023?

By Sean Carey,

June is just around the corner, and to help you get your achievement-hunting affairs in order, we've looked through our data to bring you a list of games that might leave Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in June.

Unless it's a first party title or a game that's signed an indefinite deal to remain in the service, not all games stay in Xbox Game Pass forever, and with so many new games coming to Game Pass each week, the old must make way for the new. Most games tend to stick around in Game Pass for around 12-24 months, and to give you an idea of what to focus on before Microsoft makes an official announcement, we've looked through our data to bring you a list of games that might leave the service next month.

12 months

The majority of games in Game Pass tend to remain in the service for about 12 months before they leave. The games listed below all joined the service 12 months ago, so they could be next to leave.
So many great games joined Game Pass in June 2022, including three Ubisoft games that might be on the chopping block due to the launch of Ubisoft's own subscription service, Ubisoft+. It should be noted that the Xbox One version of Naraka: Bladepoint only came to Game Pass in December last year, so it could be sticking around in the service for longer. The same can be said for the Shadowrun trilogy, where the PC versions of the three Shadowrun games joined PC Game Pass earlier this month. While the Shadowrun games and Naraka: Bladepoint are unlikely to leave, we've included them anyway to be on the safe side.

18 months

Townscaper easy achievements

It doesn't happen all the time, but some games do leave Game Pass after 18 months in the service. Here are all the games that are still in Game Pass that joined back in December 2021.
There are several quick completions here that you may want to get done and out of the way now: Townscaper can be completed in under 30 minutes, Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay in four hours, and The Gunk in under eight hours. For those looking for a challenge, Stardew Valley, ANVIL: Vault Breaker, and Generation Zero all have pretty lengthy completion estimates and some achievements with hefty TA ratios. Rubber Bandits has one partly discontinued/unobtainable achievement, so you may want to avoid the party game if that sort of thing bothers you.

24 months

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Nearly all games that joined Game Pass two years ago have now left the service, but there is one that is still hanging on.
From what we can tell, out of all the games that came to Game Pass in June 2021, just Yakuza: Like a Dragon remains. If you want the completion for Yakuza: LAD on your tag, you'll need to set aside between 80 and 100 hours. Technically, retro-inspired FPS Produes also joined PC Game Pass back in June 2021, but that was in Game Preview and hadn't fully released.

36 months

no man's sky fractal update

Next, we have games that are still in Game Pass after a full three years. While most games that joined Game Pass in June 2020 have left, a couple remain.
No Man's Sky has a pretty tough achievement list, thanks to permadeath and survival modes, but if you're thinking of going for the completion, unlocking all 27 of its achievements will take between 50 and 60 hours. PC Game Pass title Battletech could also leave next month, but it doesn't feature any achievements.

48 months

Hollow Knight

After a huge 48 months in Game Pass, a surprising number of games are still hanging on. These five games joined Game Pass back in June 2019.
Now, Batman: Arkham Knight was announced as leaving Game Pass back in September 2020, but for some reason, it was never removed from the service, so it was either a mistake, or its contract was renewed. We don't know how long it was renewed for, but it's possible that it could leave on its four-year anniversary in the service next month. All the games listed above have pretty chunky TA ratios and completion estimates. Batman's base list is estimated to take between 40 and 50 hours, Astroneer's between 60 and 80 hours, Hollow Knight's between 60 and 80 hours, Moonligter's between 25 and 40 hours, and Bridge Constructor Portal's between 15 and 20 hours.

72 months

Payday 2: Crimewave Edition free play days

Finally, we come onto the Game Pass faithful. These games have been in Xbox Game Pass since its full launch back in 2017 — a full six years!
Both games here have lengthy completion estimates, so you'll want to get cracking on these sooner rather than later. To complete Payday 2: Crimewave Edition's base achievement list, you'll need between 150 and 200 hours. For Terraria, estimates suggest a completion will take between 80 and 100 hours.

As for games leaving at the end of May, Microsoft has confirmed that five games are leaving Game Pass. You can check out our 'what games could leave Game Pass' article for May here.
