Broforce joins Xbox Game Pass on August 8 and will include the game's latest update, Broforce Forever, which brings an expanded campaign, "six new ultra-patriotic bros," four new challenge levels, and more.

Released in 2015, Broforce is a side-scrolling run-and-gun platformer where players control the Broforce, which is described as an "under-funded, over-powered paramilitary organization dealing exclusively in excessive force." Each 'bro' is inspired by a popular action movie icon, such as John Rambo, Chuck Norris, the Terminator, Mr. T, and Alien's Ellen Ripley. Playing as these characters, you and up to three other players will eliminate terrorist organizations in the name of freedom.

The Broforce Forever update adds six more playable bros — Seth Brondle, Xebro Warrior Princess, Desperabro, Broffy the Vampire Slayer, Burt Brommer, and Demolition Bro — an expanded campaign with new unlocks, new enemy types and improvements, and four challenge levels called Muscle Temples. Each new challenge level tasks Indiana Brones with "navigating a perilous temple that features a new Threat Level and specific enemy types and hazards." Once completed, you can use any bro to run through the Muscle Temple again.

The Windows version of Broforce, which has one unobtainable achievement, was included in PC Game Pass, once upon a time — fingers crossed the Broforce Forever update fixes this one.

Broforce is now one of five confirmed games coming to Game Pass in August.
