In the most recent Behind the Scenes
video for Harmonix's upcoming Kinect-enabled dance title, Dance Central 2
, the team at HMX went over the many improvements made to the game's Break it Down mode.
Today, Harmonix released a video detailing the voice commands which will be used to make navigating the menus in DC 2
a more seamless experience than the navigation in http://www.trueachievements.com/Dance-Central-xbox-360.htm
. Much like on the dashboard, the game will have prompts in the lower right hand corner of the screen to alert you to when it's possible to use voice commands on the menus.
In addition to menu navigation, voice commands will be used to better aid you in Break it Down mode. After all, anyone who has played Dance Central
probably has a story or two about not being able to effectively stop the move they're working on because they didn't swipe their left hand in time to "slow it down". Now by stating simple commands, such as "Xbox slow down" or "Xbox speed up" you can effortlessly practice moves at your own pace.
If all this seems a little tough to remember, the game will include a list of voice commands that will be accessible from the main menu. If this is still a little too much to take in, the video will make it all clearer for you.
Also, you may have noticed that several tracks
were recently added to the list of songs which will be available in Dance Central 2
at launch. Harmonix released a trailer today featuring three of the tunes on that list: Missy Elliot's "Get Ur Freak On", Chingy's "Right Thurr", and Exile's "I Wish For You".
Dance Central 2
is due to be released on October 21st in Europe and October 25th in North America.
