With Microsoft's $69 billion takeover of Activision Blizzard on the cusp of completion, the Call of Duty and Diablo publisher has now commented on when Xbox fans can expect its games to hit Xbox Game Pass.

In a post on social media, Activision Blizzard explained that upcoming and recently launched games, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Diablo IV, will not be dropping into Game Pass this year. However, once the deal is finalized, Activision Blizzard will work with Microsoft to begin adding its games to the service over the next year.

"It’s awesome to see anticipation building for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III," reads the post. "As we continue to work toward regulatory approval of the Microsoft deal, we’ve been getting some questions whether our upcoming and recently launched games will be available via Game Pass.

"While we do not have plans to put Modern Warfare III or Diablo IV into Game Pass this year, once the deal closes, we expect to start working with Xbox to bring our titles to more players around the world. And we anticipate that we would begin adding games into Game Pass sometime in the course of next year."

Activision Blizzard hasn't revealed what these games are, so it's a bit unclear as to what older titles will be joining the service.

According to a report from Windows Central, fans can expect "to see a ton" of Activision Blizzard games hit Xbox Game Pass "the very minute the deal is finalized."

Hopefully, if things pan out, we'll be adding a bunch of Activision Blizzard titles to our huge games coming to Game Pass list.
