According to Psyonix, player-to-player trading will be removed from Rocket League on December 5 to "align with Epic's overall approach to game cosmetics and item shop policies, where items aren't tradable, transferrable, or sellable." As it stands, once the feature is removed, it will discontinue one achievement and make several more Rocket League achievements much harder to unlock.

Introduced in 2016, the feature allows players to trade certain items, such as cosmetics and revealed blueprints, which is handy if you have duplicates of certain items. Unfortunately, the Swap Meet achievement (which asks you to trade and receive one or more items with another player in a single transaction) is linked to this mechanic, and unless Psyonix updates its requirements, it will be discontinued on December 5 when player-to-player trading is removed from Rocket League.

There are also several Rocket League achievements that require you to complete certain actions with specific cosmetics, which will likely become harder to unlock as you won't easily be able to require said cosmetics instantly from another player. Survival of the Fittest, Psycho-Master Exploder, Throwback, Get Up, Mr. Bubbles!, Heartbreaker, Certifiable, Storm Trooper, and Metaverse are all achievements that require specific cosmetics to unlock.

The Stocked achievement, which asks you to collect 200 items, will also become more challenging to unlock as currently you can just trade items back and forth with another player to easily pop the achievement.

If you are thinking about going for the completion before December 5, just be aware that to enable player-to-player trading, you will need to stump up 500 Credits to use the feature, which costs $5/£4. Also, be sure to check out the Rocket League - Item Trading thread on TA to find other players to trade with.

While player-to-player trading will be removed in December, Psyonix notes that unwanted Core Items, Tournament Items, and Blueprints can still be exchanged by using Rocket League's in-game Trade-In system to receive a random new item of higher rarity. It also notes that players will not lose any previously traded items when player-to-player trading is removed.

Psyonix says removing player-to-player trading, "Opens up future plans for some Rocket League vehicles to come to other Epic games over time, supporting cross-game ownership."

Rocket League is one of the best free Xbox games, so to see it end up with a discontinued achievement will be a shame. Hopefully, Psyonix will be able to amend the Swap Meet achievement's requirements to make sure it's still unlockable.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in as a new tip; there were a lot of you!
