The excellent Like a Dragon: Ishin! slices its way onto Xbox Game Pass

It's a big day for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers as historical Like a Dragon spin-off Like a Dragon: Ishin! is now available with Game Pass.

It's time to shuffle around your backlog and find room for another 150-hour epic as the excellent Like a Dragon: Ishin! is now available to play with Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

If you're unfamiliar with Ishin, it's a standalone Like a Dragon spin-off set in 1860s Japan. You take up the sword of samurai Sakamoto Ryoma and travel to Kyoto to find your father's killer, clear yourself of murder, and restore your honor. If you've played any of the previous non-turn-based Yakuza/Like a Dragon games, you'll feel right at home with Ishin, thanks to its familiar action-focused combat, melodramatic main storyline, bizarre mini-games, interesting substories, and some faces you will undoubtedly recognize.

Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin! initially launched in 2014 as a Japanese PS4 exclusive before it was remade and released worldwide as Like a Dragon: Ishin! on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC in February 2023.

As for the Like a Dragon: Ishin! achievements, a completion here will take a lot of grinding — estimates suggest you'll need between 120 and 150 hours to grab the 1,000G.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is one of many games coming to Game Pass this month. In November, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will also join Xbox Game Pass.
