With it being the spooky season, it's only fitting that the Xbox Partner Preview featured a game with the ability to send chills tingling down your spine. The Chinese Room's upcoming horror game, Still Wakes the Deep, was the title of choice, and it sure looks fun.

"Still Wakes the Deep is an upcoming survival horror game from The Chinese Room. Set on an oil rig, this game pushes you through claustrophobic environments and freezing waters escaping an unthinkable horror."

With no way to communicate with the outside world for rescue, no escape routes, a storm raging around you, and something terrifying pursuing us, Still Wakes the Deep tasks us with finding our missing crewmates and, hopefully, escaping with our lives somehow. We're not sure if we'll have what it takes to survive, but you can be sure that we'll be giving this horror game a go!

We still don't have an exact release date for Still Wakes the Deep, but it's expected to launch on Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2024. The trailer above gives us high hopes that we have a new contender for a spot on our list of the best Xbox horror games, and as bonus, it's one of the games coming to Game Pass in 2024.
