Update: Rockstar has confirmed that it will be showing off the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto game in early December.

After the leak earlier today from Bloomberg which stated that GTA 6 reveal was imminent, Rockstar have released a statement clarifying the situation, stating that the reveal will come in early December. Bloomberg's original leak reported that it would be revealed this week, and the trailer shown as early as next week.

Original story
According to a new report, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be revealed during Rockstar's 25th anniversary celebrations next month. The company will reportedly announce the game later this week before giving us our first official look at GTA 6 next week.

As reported by Bloomberg — and corroborated by VGC's Andy Robinson — the wait for Grand Theft Auto 6's reveal could almost be over. Although specific dates and times are yet to be revealed, sources close to the project have suggested that Rockstar Games is preparing to announce the game sometime this week, ahead of the company's 25th anniversary in December, which will reportedly include our first look at the game via an official trailer. Although Bloomberg is generally a reliable source, as with any leak, we advise you take this news with a pinch of salt until Rockstar makes it official.

Grand Theft Auto V

Last year a hacker illegally leaked over 90 videos featuring early development footage of Grand Theft Auto 6. Rockstar, although disappointed that the game had been shown in such a way, said that it didn't expect the incident to affect the development of its next GTA game. Now we should finally see what the studio has been bustling away on behind the scenes.

Other reports last year suggested that, unlike GTA V, Rockstar is apparently planning on releasing story DLC for Grand Theft Auto 6, instead of solely focusing on GTA Online. We could also be playing with a female protagonist in the upcoming game.

We'll let you know when Rockstar does announce Grand Theft Auto 6, but if you fancy a little bit of open-world chaos now, Grand Theft Auto V is available alongside some of the best games on Game Pass.
