Rocksmith Start Playing Trailer

By Mark Delaney, 7 years ago
Arriving fashionably late to the music game scene - like a real rockstar would - is Rocksmith. Where Rocksmith stands out, as you may have heard, is that requires a real guitar to play. Any guitar using a standard 1/4 inch jack can plug in and play any of the game's 50 tracks.

Detailed below in this new trailer are some of the game modes and gameplay mechanics. The creators of Rocksmith are hoping the emphasis on educating gamers will help get copies off the shelves and into homes.

Also announced was that the game will support two-player local co-op. To rock out alongside your friends, you'll have to buy the Real Tone cable in stores. It wasn't detailed if the two players could play lead and rhythm segments of the game, or if they will play the same parts.

Rocksmith takes the stage on October 18th.
