Last week we announced the details of the inaugural TA Open community event.

We've had lots of gamers register for the event, and it's now time to reveal the details of the fifth hole of the course:

Hole 5

For Hole 5, you need to reach the target TrueAchievement difference using your achievement unlocks.
  • The total target TAD for this hole is 52.
  • The maximum TAD per shot for this hole is 30 - shots above this will not count at all.
  • The par score for this hole is 4.
To read more information about how the event works, please read the announcement story and especially the TA Open FAQ - we have added answers to all the questions we have had from the community in here.

Key information:
  • You must click the Tee off (Start) button to start earning progress towards the hole - achievements will only count if unlocked when the hole is un-paused.
  • However, you can scan achievements in at any time - you do not need to be un-paused to scan them in, and we will work out which achievements you unlocked while un-paused based on their timestamps.
  • Given there could be slight variations in the timings between our servers and the Xbox servers we recommend un-pausing at least one minute before and after you pop your achievements.
  • You can pause and un-pause your hole progress as often as you like.
  • Any achievement unlocks with a TAD above 30 will not count at all.
  • If you take more than 14 shots, we will automatically close the hole for you and register a score of 10 over par.
  • You can find a full list of your achievements below the maximum TAD here.
  • You have until the end of May 4th UTC to complete this hole and the rest of the course.
Hole 6 will be revealed at 10am (UTC) in two days.

Good luck!

Yo! Rich here - I was the one that created TrueAchievements back in 2008 as I felt the Xbox Gamerscore system could be improved. The site has evolved massively since then and it's now the biggest and best Xbox community on the planet! Racing games and open world shooters are my thing, but I'll give most genres a go. Except RPGs - those things are evil.
