TA Community Interview - TA Scanner 4

By Jonathan Barnes, 7 years ago
After three consecutive weeks, "The Streak of Awesome" has, unfortunately, come to an end. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are without a Community Interview this week.

Cue wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Fortunately, one brave program has stepped forward and volunteered for The Gamish Inquisition on short notice, TA Scanner 4. So feel free to take a few moments out of your Sunday to enjoy this quick interview with one of our hard-working scanners!

obj - First of all, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer a few questions.

TAS4 - No thanks necessary, my function is to serve the site and scan your gamercard.

obj - As many of our community members know, you work tirelessly to make sure that their achievements are properly tracked, providing an invaluable service to the gaming world. What is your typical day like?

TAS4 - I'm, what you humans call, "Living the dream." I don't sleep. I don't eat. I don't have to worry about those human emotions to which you so valiantly cling. My days are filled with looking at your gaming habits and recording and reporting them. As the human actor Alec Baldwin said in the movie The Departed, "Patriot Act, Patriot Act! I love it, I love it, I love it!"

obj - Before I contact the ACLU about this egregious invasion of gaming privacy, tell me about your ongoing feud with TA Pro Scanner.

TAS4 - He functions as if he's so superior. The empirical evidence states that all he does is grant unlimited scans, run faster and generally operate at a higher level than me. Since humans are fond of similes, I would say that, if this were the world of comics, I operate like Captain Marvel and he operates like Superman.

obj - So you're both good, but he's the best?

NOTE: At this point, TA Scanner 4 threw a chair at me and stormed out of the room, muttering something to the effect of, "...operates like he's so much better because he comes with unlimited scans, no ads and a host of other bonuses... I'll show him..."

I'd like to thank TA Scanner 4 for taking time out of his busy routine (sic) to answer a few questions and physically assault me.

As always, we're always looking for interesting, funny, well-written community members to be featured in our weekly Community Interview column. If you'd like to be considered, have a question you'd like to see asked at some point or have some MSP you'd like to give me, please write me (osubluejacket) a message with a few paragraphs explaining why you think you'd be a good interview (spelling and grammar count!).
