Netflix Staying One Company

By Jonathan Barnes, 7 years ago
Remember a few weeks ago when we reported that Netflix was splitting their business into two, different services with two, different websites: Qwikster (for DVDs) and Netflix (for streaming)?

Well... as it seems... they decided NOT to do ANY of that.

Reed Hastings (the much-maligned CEO of Netflix), explains:

It is clear that for many of our members two websites would make things more difficult, so we are going to keep Netflix as one place to go for streaming and DVDs.

This means no change: one website, one account, one password… in other words, no Qwikster.
There will be no further pricing changes, but, unfortunately, Netflix will not be reimbursing us the time, money or vitriol that were expended with their original business decisions.

Don't just take my word for it. Feel free to read the full blog here.
