Daytona USA Re-release Coming to XBLA

This console generation has seen a lot of re-releasing of classic games, HD updates, and some remakes and reboots too. Perhaps more than any other publisher, SEGA has been re-releasing their classics. A huge library of Sonic games already speeds across the marketplace, plus games like SEGA Bass Fishing and Crazy Taxi showcase a blast from SEGA's past. Add to that list another retro game: Daytona USA.

The 1993 arcade racer will bring back the game mostly just as you remembered it, but with a few new features. Most notably, the game will now have online multiplayer that pits you against seven others. Also, you can now use any steering wheel controller compatible with Xbox 360.

The game will also bring back the instantly recognizable soundtrack - which you just heard in the trailer - and even features a Karaoke mode, if you want to sing along.

Daytona USA races on to XBLA in North America on October 26th for 800 MSP. At the end of November, the game will then hit the European downloadable marketplace.
