Two more Gears 3 Events Incoming

Based on your feedback from the previous event for, we're here to inform you that two more Gears 3 Events will be going live in the next few days.

This weekend's event of choice is Torque Bow Tag, which will run from October 14th through October 17th. If it's anything like the event that was run during the beta, this means that all map based weapons will be replaced by, you guessed it, Torque Bows. While we can't know for sure just yet, it's likely you won't have to get a kill with the weapon; just play in a versus game and you'll get your third event credit toward the Socialite achievement. This will also allow you to work on several other medals which you'll need towards Seriously 3.0, including the Special Teams medal for map-based kills, and the Explosives medal, for which Torque bow kills count.

The second event (and the fourth event for the War Supporter medal), which will take place on October 18th, is Ticker Tuesday. We don't have specific details, but based on similar events in Gears of War 2, all enemy types in Horde Mode will be replaced by tickers during the majority of the waves. While this may make earning the Enriched and Fortified achievement easier for the majority of the fifty waves, boss waves are likely to still feature the typical big enemies, so be prepared! Of course, progress toward all related Horde Mode medals for Seriously 3.0 can also be earned during this event.

Want to take advantage of all those Torque Bows? Interested in getting a group of five together to tackle horde on Insane when faced with a plethora of tickers? Go ahead and create a gaming session to work on those kills.
