There's a bunch of new Halo-centric news lately. Hot on the heels of Halo: Anniversary's compatibility with Kinect
comes news of an update to Halo Waypoint
The planned update will add a feature dubbed 'Atlas' to the Waypoint
app, which is described by 343 industries as a 'GPS' which allows you to track your teammates movements and weapon spawns in live matches. You will be able to access the Atlas via Halo Waypoint
on the web or your Windows Phone 7 device to keep tabs on their location and activities on Xbox LIVE.
The update will also bring in the ability to send challenges to your friends which will earn in-game credit upon completion. There's no word explaining much more about the concept than that at the moment, only that challenges will be variable in difficulty and reward.
The update to Halo Waypoint will occur on November 15th to coincide with the release of Halo: Anniversary
