New Max Payne 3 Screens Emerge from NYCC

Last weekend at New York Comic Con, fans were treated with, among other things, plenty of game previews, demos, and festivities. Some of those lucky attendees were able to see a Max Payne 3 live demo. Although video of the new game isn't available (yet), Rockstar was feeling generous enough to fire off some new screenshots of their noir-action thriller. This new set of screens continues to display the many different appearances Max takes on in the game, possibly indicating some flashback sequences. Knowing Rockstar, I wouldn't be surprised if the story unfolded in a Memento-esque broken timeline.

Though the inclusion of multiplayer to Max Payne 3 has been announced and met with criticism from some fans, those that were able to see the live single player demo spoke very highly of the game's direction.

If you prefer your Payne in video format, you can catch up with the Pop-up trailer, which was released last month.

Max Payne 3 is scheduled for a March 2012 release.
