Chester was the top voted fan title to be added to the Indie Games Summer Uprising program by amassing over 4,000 votes. The platforming in this game is top notch, and the usual staple of platforming tweaks gamers have come to expect are here as well - double jumps, fireball projectiles, and sliding down vertical walls with a controlled speed. My only gripe with the game came during the tutorial level, when it seemed every few steps were met with a huge sign tool-tip scrolling across the screen. These must have seemed like a novel and new idea for the game; however, it became a bit much for my tastes.

As you progress through over 20 levels that the game offers, you can unlock ten unique Chester personalities to use through the game, as well as five unique styles to change the visual appearance of the levels.

If you are fan of platforming titles, this title is one you should check out. The controls are tight, the visuals are impressive, and the challenging sections are very rewarding once you figure them out . You can make this game yours for only 240 MSP.

We will be covering all of the Summer Uprising titles over the next few weeks, but don't let that scare you away from submitting other titles you think are worthy of a Spotlight all to themselves. As always, you can submit any title directly via PM to mancide.

When not enjoying video games, our fearless newshound enjoys an nice pint of fermented barley and hops in a variety of styles. India Pale Ales, Stouts, Porters, Witbiers, Saisons, Gose, Lambics, Barleywine, you name it. If it has water, malted barley, hops and yeast in it, I'll consume it. I also enjoy all things technological, Doctor Who, wrasslin, traveling, and spending time with my family.
