Minecraft Confirmed as Xbox Exclusive

During E3, Mojang revealed that their wildly popular indie title, Minecraft, would be making its way to the Xbox LIVE Arcade.

We still don't know too much about the title, outside that the Kinect will be used somehow and that it is being developed by 4J, but here's what's new:

First, as per Notch's Twitter, Minecraft will be coming exclusively to the Xbox 360.

Second, the release date for the title has been pushed back from the rapidly approaching "Winter" window, to Spring 2012.

Here are a couple of videos of the game to ease the hurt of having to wait. Yes, they've been floating around a little while, but this will be helpful for those of you who are somehow not familiar with Minecraft yet.

The Xbox iteration of Minecraft will be playable at MineCon, which will take place on November 18th and 19th in Las Vegas. We'll be sure to bring you more news from the Con when it happens.
