Before Call of Duty
was calling in AC-130's, before Halo
was low-grav jumping into a Killtastrophe, there was Goldeneye
, the game that went a long way to popularizing competitive FPS gaming. Last year Wii fans were treated to a re-imagining of the classic shooter. Not wanting to neglect the hardcore shooter crowd (or miss out on an extra buck), Activision gave the game a HD remastering for Xbox 360. GoldenEye 007: Reloaded
comes out this week and here's the launch trailer to prove it:
The game doesn't feature many bonus features compared to the Wii version, it is the first release on 360 after all - it doesn't need to be so different, but still some bonuses were included. A new online mode called Escalation has been added. Multiplayer now makes room for twice as many agents in a game. The Wii allowed eight, Xbox will have sixteen. Also, a new MI-6 Ops mode was announced and detailed
. Perhaps the most enticing addition to the readers of this site is the addition of achievements. Goldeneye 007: Reloaded
releases this week on November 1st in North America and on the 4th in Europe.
