Awesomenauts Pushed Back to 2012

Looks like you'll have to wait a bit longer to pick your favorite mercenary to take into battle in Ronimo Games' Awesomenauts, as the developer announced today that the game has been delayed.

Jasper Koning, co-founder and game designer at Ronimo Games, shared a couple of words about the delay:
Though we understand that fans may initially feel disappointed that the game will not be released before the end of the year, we will make sure to use the extra time available to us to polish Awesomenauts even further.
To ease the blow, Ronimo has released a 21-minute video of the title featuring in-game action and developer commentary.

If that isn't enough for you, then check out the character bios for Clunk, Sheriff Lonestar, and Froggy G, and just try to imagine what it will be like on the day you can pick which mercenary you'll play as.

Awesomenauts will arrive on the Xbox LIVE Arcade in February 2012.
