This isn't the normal kind of story we run here on TA, it's not a trailer or confirmation of the next big game's release date, but we felt it just as important to share. Many of us criticise publishers and developers when they do something we don't like, so it's nice for a change to write about something not only good, but also very touching.
Destructoid.com ran a story yesterday of a young man named Carlo whose friend, Michael John Mamaril, passed away last month due to cancer aged only 22. Both were big fans of Borderlands
, and so Carlo sent an email to Gearbox asking for a short eulogy to be read by one of the game's characters, Claptrap.
Gearbox not only followed up with the request, but they also decided to include Michael as a NPC in the upcoming Borderlands 2
