Independent studio Playdead Games have revealed that their XBLA title LIMBO (Xbox 360)
has smashed through one million copies sold worldwide in 153 countries, in 9 languages and across three gaming platforms.
But what of the profits? Playdead Games have 'bought back' it's company from early investors so that they may focus on their next gaming venture:
With the success that LIMBO has achieved, we felt this was the ideal time to fully regain our independence. We are grateful to everyone who supported us over the past few years, and look forward to forging new partnerships that will both let us reach new heights as a studio and give our director, Arnt Jensen, room to grow creatively.
There is no news on what may be in store for Playdead, but you can be sure it won't be anything bland on the eye.
