The upcoming "Vengeance and Virtue" DLC for Pinball FX2 (Xbox 360)
is shaping up to be one hell of a table pack. We already know that poll winner Ghost Rider
is representing one of the two "Vengeance" tables with The X-Men
representing one of the two "Virtue" tables. Today, we finish off the "Vengeance" side of the DLC with the introduction of Moon Knight.
I love that last line.
Anyways, I'm sure that roughly 90% of you are only familiar with Moon Knight because of his appearances in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Xbox 360)
or maybe Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
So who is Moon Knight? Well he's Marc Spector, son of a Rabbi and an exceptionally skilled soldier that stumbles across a temple dedicated to the Egyptian Moon God Khonshu while working as a mercenary in the Egyptian desert. He becomes the Avatar of Khonshu, bringing a unique brand of vengeance on an array of semi-mystical villains throughout his three comic book series. Blessed with increased strength based on the phase of the moon and a wide array of advanced technology, Moon Knight appeared to be Marvel's take on Batman.
That was until Moon Knight was brought back in 2006 for a fresh run under writer Charlie Huston. This time around, the question is left wide open as to where Moon Knight derives his powers as it is not known if there really is a Khonshu or if he is just having a schizophrenic episode. When you're taking orders from an Egyptian Moon God talking to you through the faceless head of one of your enemies, I think it's okay to begin questioning your state of mind. Needless to say, there's a lot of background information and the 2006 series is well worth your time to hunt down.
"Vengeance and Virtue" will be available in December and while no price has officially been announced, it is expected to be 800 MSP and contain an additional 12 achievements for 200 GS.
