A reasonably large update this week….Gamer Blog Comments
As you know, we introduced a blogging system a while ago, and I’ve finally got around to making some upgrades to the system.
- You can now comment on gamers’ blogs
- You can choose who can comment on your blogs – either Everyone, Friends Only, or No one
- You can choose to be notified by either PM or Email when someone comments on your blog
- The above option is also now used for comments on your solutions and reviews rather than the simple PM option that used to be there
These options can be configured in http://www.trueachievements.com/customize.aspxPre-Release Games
The content and news teams have been working hard to bring you information on pre-release games – most games that are not yet released now have their own page on TA that we will use to collate news stories and other information on the game, as well as a release date when we know it.
Here’s an example page:http://www.trueachievements.com/Halo-4-xbox-360.htmRelated Games
As you can see, there’s also a new Related Games panel on the right of the Halo 4 page, containing (you guessed it), games related to Halo 4. You’ll find these on many of the game pages, and they should make it easier for you to navigate quickly between games in a series, for example.Scanners
Since the xbox.com redesign, I had to rewrite the scanners again. Although they are working (most of the time), they are now considerably slower than before. The non-Pro scanners are now based on the community feed and can be up to 2 hours behind xbox.com. I am constantly working on ways to improve their accuracy and speed, so rest assured that I don’t intend for them to stay this slow for long….
Thanks all, have a great weekend!
