New Duke Nukem Forever DLC Coming

Were you amongst the legions of gamers who plunked down $5 for Duke Nukem Forever in yesterday's Best Buy DotD? If so, Gearbox is about to give you an extra reason to get excited about your bargain-basement purchase.

2K and Gearbox have confirmed that they'll be releasing a new batch of DLC for The Duke next week. "The Doctor Who Cloned Me" will add both single player and multiplayer content.

The single player content will take Duke deep into the heart of Area 51 where Dr. Proton has been working his PhD for all it's worth by cloning evil copies of The Duke. Aside from evil clones (there's no confirmation on whether or not they'll sport the goatees of classic, evil doppelgangers), Duke will also be pounding a wide assortment of other enemies, including alien queens, all in the name of saving his babes... and the world, too, if you want to get picky.

The new campaign will feature new weapons, new enemy types, new bosses, new interactive items, and (most-importantly to some of you) new achievements.

In addition to the single player goodness, Gearbox will be adding four new multiplayer maps:

Sky High: The alien-infested corporate offices of Pooty, Inc. near the center of Las Vegas. This map includes three indoor floors taken over by the aliens and two rooftops, jump pads, stairwells, and building-to-building combat.

Command: EDF command center with an imprisoned BattleLord at its core! A two-level map featuring winding stairs, straightaway corridors, and jump pads.

Drop Zone: Rooftop of Duke’s Lady Killer Casino featuring indoor and outdoor combat and stairwells for platforming, an EDF dropship on landing pad, and a bottomless pit.

Biohazard: Fight in the Breston Plant Nuclear Power facilities and compete across multiple floors in locker rooms, restrooms with showers, control rooms, and the nuclear waste storage room.

The cherry on top of this DLC goodness is the quartet of screens showing off some of that sweet action:

I was not the biggest fan of DNF, but, after picking it up for $5 yesterday, I'm a bit excited to jump into some new content!

"The Doctor Who Cloned Me" is set to hit the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on December 13th and will cost 800 MSP.
