Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC Schedule Outlined

In September, Final Fantasy XIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed that, unlike its predecessor, FFXIII-2 would have DLC support. This week, during the Jump Festa, the DLC plans for the game in Japan were outlined.

The first piece of DLC, the "Omega" DLC, will be released on December 22nd for an as-yet-unspecified price. The DLC will feature a boss battle and a recruitable monster. In January, the second set of DLC will arrive in the form of new costumes for Noel and Serah. Noel's costume is "Blazing Brave" and Serah's is an evening outfit. Finally, in February, a new costume for Serah, a pink bikini, will be released.

In addition, Lightning as she appeared in FFXIII will be available as a downloadable character for the Colosseum. Don't forget that the ability to dress-up Noel as Ezio will also be coming in the future.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 was released last week in Japan and will be released on January 31st, 2012 in North America and February 3rd, 2012 in Europe. Don't forget that you still have plenty of time to get in on the US exclusive pre-order incentives. Also, for those of you into Collector's Editions, check out the region-specific American and European bundles.
