The Making of Risen 2: Dark Waters Part 2

Last month, Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver released the first developer diary for they're upcoming title, Risen 2: Dark Waters.

In the first episode, Game Designers Michael Hoge and Björn Pankratz and Story Writer Jennifer Pankratz discussed the topic of creating the world in which Risen 2 takes place. This time around, Story Writer Stefan Kalveran and Concept Artist Jann Kerntke joins Hoge and the Pankrantzes to discuss the factions that appear in the game.

Here's a brief rundown of the factions in case you can't watch the video:

- The Inquisition and what the disappearance of magic from the world has meant for them
-The Natives in their natural habitat, the jungle, and their suppression as slaves in this world
- The Pirates who play a central role in the story of Risen 2
- and finally, The Gnomes and their enhanced role in Risen 2, their culture of collecting all things which aren't nailed down and a special mention of the gnome Jaffar who will help the player through his quest.
