By Mark Delaney, 6 years ago
The end of this month contains the release date to the next retail HD revival, SIlent Hill HD Collection. Though, if you're not feeling so nostalgic, you may just want to wait for March's release of Silent Hill Downpour, the newest addition to the storied franchise's history.

These new screens offer a glimpse at some of the never-before-seen locations players will be exploring in Downpour as well as some new monsters that will surely cause a type of turn-around-and-sprint-for-your-life maneuver -- a staple of the series.

Rumors are also swirling that the game's March release date will be set specifically for March 6th, though that has not yet been confirmed by Konami. If that were true, March 6th just may be the biggest day in game releases in a long time, with Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier also due out on that exact day.

You'll remember that the game was delayed and pushed out of the Holiday 2011 window so Vatra Games could touch up their work. They have mentioned it has been time well spent and their finished product, which they have dared to liken to Silent Hill 2, is better off because of it.

Look through the fog for Silent Hill: Downpour in March.
