While many people have been down on the new Dashboard's incorporation (or lack thereof) of Indie Games, it seems the people at Microsoft are still very much intent on supporting the service as they've recently detailed
three changes that will affect the Indie Games space.
First, the CCGAME bundles size has been increased. Up until now, the limit was capped at 150MB. Now, the size has been expanded to 500MB, giving indie developers more room to play with.
Second, as a result of the increased CCGAME bundle limits, Microsoft has changed the pricing structure on Indie Games. Previously, any games larger than 50MB had to be priced at 240 or 400MSP. Now, any game under 150MB may be priced at 80MSP.
Finally, Microsoft has increased the limit on the number of games a developer may put on the service. Initially, the number was eight and it was later increased to ten. Now, developers may submit up to twenty games to the Xbox LIVE Indie Games service.
So what do you think of these changes? Any others you would like to see Microsoft make?
