Warner Bros. and TT Games have confirmed the existence of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, coming your way this summer. We first delivered the news of a new Lego Batman back in October, in a piece covering a L.A. Times interview with Warner Bros Interactive. Since then, the addition of other DC Heroes was all but confirmed on a flyer located inside new Lego playsets that some retail stores released early. Many community members passed along this news to us at the time, so thank you. Today we have confirmation and first details from the publisher themselves for their newest brick platformer.
As rumored, Batman and Robin won’t have to fight the battle alone this time. The Gotham City duo will be joined by other super heroes, such as Wonder Woman, Superman, and Green Lantern. The dastardly Joker won’t be alone either though, as villains such as Lex Luthor will be joining in to wreak havoc. Your task will be to get this group of baddies back behind bars where they belong.
Taking place in Gotham again, Lego Batman 2 will once again feature an all-new original story. Players will have plenty of tools and weapons at their disposal; some old, some new. You’ll be able to pilot the skies with the Batwing or cruise around in the Batmobile. Master new gadgets and suits, like Batman’s Power Suit, or Robin’s Hazard Cannon. Other new abilities include flight, heat vision, and super breath.
You can look forward to this and a whole lot more in Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes when it arrives this summer.
