Not only is Amuse Sloth’s Chicken's Can't Fly (WP)
a part of the upcoming Must Have Games
promotion, it also holds the distinction of being one of the first games to offer avatar awards on Windows Phone
. The avatar awards are set to arrive in the game’s first title update after release.
The gameplay is similar to that of Doodle Jump (WP)
, except here you’re steering a falling chicken downward rather than climbing up. Along the way you must avoid dangerous obstacles and pick up valuable powerups which you can store for later use.
Below we have a funny little trailer and a handful of screens to cluck at.
•Play across 5 laboratories: Hatchery, Butchery, Cemetery, Military and Physics
•Each laboratory has its own set of obstacles, power-ups and power-downs
•Over 50 Experiments with varied objectives and play-styles
•Survival Mode – the classic CCD experience streamlined, expanded and improved, available for each Laboratory
•Xbox LIVE Achievements and Leaderboards
•Global Weekly Challenge: play the same level as everyone in the world and see how you rank up in the Leaderboards
•Other features: Ringtones, Live Tiles, Fast App Switchin
The Xbox LIVE title is based off their free independent Windows Phone hit, Chickens Can Dream
, which has since been removed from the Marketplace. The game is still available to some by downloading through this link here
. If you are able to download this removed title you can get a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming LIVE-enabled game. Many Bothans died to bring us this information.Chickens Can’t Fly
will be available in early February. Check out our weekly Windows Phone releases post to see what’s new each Wednesday. We’ll also be sure to inform you when the avatar awards and title update drops post-release.
