XCOM Gets an Even Longer Delay

By Mark Delaney, 6 years ago
Not to be confused with XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the strategy-based and more franchise-faithful iteration, this XCOM is a FPS focusing on a similar alien invasion story that the series has been built on.

Previously delayed already, XCOM has now been delayed again until no earlier than 2013. Before, the game's delay was scheduled for Fiscal Year 2013, but that could have meant as early as April 2012. Now we know that won't be the case.

Seemingly, 2K Games wants to reboot the franchise with a game more like its past versions before they diverge from that path with a shooter.

Don't expect XCOM for at least 700 days or so.
