Smiles would have been on a lot of fans faces when the news broke out regarding The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
making a beautiful jump
from the PC to the 360. Unfortunately, those smiles may have been lowered slightly when it was announced that the game would not release at the end of 2011 as promised, and was delayed
back to this year. With the wait almost over, we can all begin to smile again as details have been spotted within a January issue of Game Informer, and that the console version of the upcoming RPG will be an Enhanced Edition!
The Enhanced Edition is said to include a set of additional quests, adding up to around four hours of extra gameplay, which will allow the player to see new locations and meet new characters whilst on a mission involving "kidnapping royal heirs". CD Projekt RED, the developers for the game, have made fixes and tweaks to the original version of the game, including further optimizing the control scheme for the console version.
More details will surely be revealed regarding the Enhanced Edition, hopefully along with a more specific release date for the title. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
is currently scheduled for release Q2 2012.
