Popular iOS Game, Quarrel, Coming to XBLA

By Mark Delaney, 5 years ago
According to Joystiq, the game of superior anagram-ing, Quarrel, is soon to be released on XBLA. The iOS game has grown in popularity steadily on handheld devices, so the move to consoles makes sense.

The game combines solving anagrams like in Scrabble with territorial control similar to RISK in a war (okay, maybe just a quarrel) for control over the island you inhabit. The visual style looks a lot like what you'd expect from a small-priced app game. It's colorful, cartoony, and attractively simple. The game will offer 2-4 player online modes, something you can't get in the iOS version, and, as you'll see in the screens below, it also allows you to use your avatar in-game.

Quarrel will be released in about two weeks from now, on January 25th, for 400 MSP.
