Is there light at the end of the tunnel or will L4D end up in Multiplayer hell when L4D2 is released?
That's what L4D2 Boycott Committee founding members Walking_Target
and Agent of Chaos
hoped to find out when they decided to take up Valve's invitation for a studio tour in spite of being labeled 'traitors' by other Committee members. After spending the day with Valve Exec. Gabe Newell and self proclaimed 'Mr. Awesome' Chet Faliszek, discussing L4D bug fixes/exploit fixes and interoperability between L4D and L4D2, Walking_Target
left feeling as though the Valve team is dedicated to the continuation of the first game and really seem exciting about working on both games in tandem.
In fact, yesterday, he reported in his blog that; "There is more DLC for Left 4 Dead coming after Crash Course
" adding "it’ll either be a new Special Infected, a new Campaign or new Weapon(s). It’s definitely one of the three, perhaps more.
then promises to follow up this rumour with Chet Faliszek once the Crash Course DLC is released.
So it looks as though the four survivors will get to continue their fight for survival in somewheresville Pennsylvania.
As for development on interoperability (Cross Play) aspect of L4D and L4D2, Chet Faliszek is very vague in an interview with Shacknews saying "We're working on what that will be. There are some technical problems, issues, we're working things out.
" The rest of the interview focuses on L4D2 weapons and environments.Left 4 Dead 2: The PAX Interview, or How You Made Valve's Chet Faliszek Cryhttp://www.shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=1193&page=...
