By Ashley Woodcock, 6 years ago
Just in case you may not remember, back in November last year we announced that Cave's formerly-Japanese-exclusive shoot 'em up, Akai Katana (JP), was making its way to Xbox 360 consoles in Europe. Good news has now been revealed for you guys in the west, as this classic title will now be heading for consoles in North America too.

This upcoming title will be Cave's first release in North America, as they have also revealed alongside this news that they will be expanding their company and opening up a new headquarters in California. To top these announcements off, Rising Star also revealed that they will be working their magic in the XBLA section of gaming, with Rising Star Digital getting ready to dish out some arcade goodness. Managing Director of Rising Star, Martin Defries, had a vision of whats to come for Rising Star Digital:

Rising Star Games Digital has been something we’ve been working on for a while. We envisage a huge growth in downloadable product over the coming years, and intend to play a big part shaping the future development of our exciting industry.
Akai Katana is currently scheduled for an American and European release in Q2 2012.
