Multiple sources are now reporting that Activision announced a sequel to Transformers: The Game, which I've linked to in case you haven't had the (dis)pleasure of playing it. Although no official word has yet appeared on Activision's website, IGN's Greg Miller is reporting that versions of the game will ship for pretty much every current generation gaming platform except for iPhone (DS, Wii, PSP, PS2, PS3, PC, Xbox 360).
Before we go into movie crossover bashing-mode, there is some good news to report here. Luxoflux, creators of the surprisingly good movie adaption of Kung Fu Panda, will be handling the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. The game is said to include the ability to once again play as both Autobots and Decepticons. This time around the game will also feature multiplayer, but whether that would be online, offline, or both was not announced.
A release date also has yet to be announced, but it is probably safe to expect it sometime around the June 26th movie release.
