Bandfuse: Rock Legends Announced

Back when music games were relevant, it was tough to even get a copy of the newest Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Now Gamestop won't even accept trade-ins of the instrument peripherals. The genre has fallen mightily, like a once famous rock god who now clings to their fame by appearing on celebrity reality shows alongside short-lived child stars and past-their-prime athletes. But lately the genre has been trying to pick itself back up and launch a reboot of its once mighty position in the gaming industry. After, there came the announcement of JAM Live Music Arcade, and now a new game has emerged, titled

Like Rocksmith, Bandfuse's focus is on teaching you how to actually play the guitar. A somewhat vulgar Slash is presented in this new video to tell you how Bandfuse looks to outshine Guitar Hero, which he has previously appeared in. There's also a glimpse at some gameplay that shows us what the stream of notes will look like and how it's different than other music games.

Developer Realta Entertainment listed some special features for us too:

The Real Deal – Players strap on a real guitar and within minutes are playing along with
the biggest rock songs of all time. BandFuse works with any guitar – no special equipment
required. Just plug into your console with the adaptor included with the game.

The Ultimate Set List – The biggest hits. The biggest artists. From punk to funk and rock to
metal, BandFuse features a massive genre-jumping set list including Coldplay, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Judas Priest, Slash, Maroon 5 and Five Finger Death Punch.

Animated Tabs – BandFuse animates real guitar tablature in a simple and intuitive format
allowing you to take your music wherever you go.

Sound Like a Rock Legend – Add effects like distortion, reverb and chorus to sound like a pro without all the expensive gear.

Total Song Control – Slow down songs to hear every nuance or loop your favorite segments
as you jam along. BandFuse gives you total control of every song.

Deep Career Mode – Progress through the phases of a rock career starting from humble
beginnings and work your way to a Rock Legend status.

Bandfuse: Rock Legends is currently slated to go on a worldwide tour of retail stores sometime in 2012.
