When details of last year's https://www.trueachievements.com/AC-Revelations-xbox-360.htm were first revealed, it was made clear that the game would bring the stories of both Ezio Auditore and Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad to a close, with a new Assassin, time period and location taking their place in https://www.trueachievements.com/Assassins-Creed-III-xb....htm.

Today, the news most fans of the franchise were waiting for was revealed, as Ubisoft released an image of the game's cover art, quite clearly showing the American flag in the background.

Further information was revealed via Game Informer, with the magazine confirming that the game would be set during the 18th Century American Revolution.

Ever since the conclusion of Assassin's Creed II, a senior team of Ubisoft developers has been secretly toiling away on what comes next. That team aimed high, with plans to examine and rethink every element of the franchise from the ground up, build something new, and take a full three year development cycle to do it.

The game that emerged is Assassin's Creed III. Set in the latter half of the 18th century, we'll see the war between the Templars and the Assassins escalate as it crosses over to the New World of America, and witness firsthand the events of the American Revolution.
The magazine's April edition will feature 13 pages of information, including details of the game's protagonist, screenshots and art, some of which can be seen below.

Assassin's Creed III is scheduled for release on October 31st of this year.

I can't wait!!!
