UK Deal Roundup for March 20th, 2012

By Rebecca Smith, 6 years ago
We have a few new sales this week. Play starts the first of the Spring sales while continuing another sale that should have ended ten days ago. Zavvi also restarts one of their old favourites and begins an offer on pre-order games. Shopto starts a new offer that I’m assuming is supposed to replace the Weekly Specials and the Star Buys. As for weekly offers, Play, TheHut and Zavvi have some notable offerings.

As usual you need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Further details on the deals, including the best pick of the sale items, can be found in the ‘details here’ link, which will take you back to the relevant UK deal roundup that described the sale in more detail. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing.

To start off the new sales of the week, Play has begun a Spring Sale. As well as the normal list, there is a list of games where these special prices end at midnight Tuesday. These are the best bargains:
Assassin's Creed: Revelations - £17.99 (Tuesday only)
Cars 2 - £12.99
Child of Eden - £7.99 (Tuesday only)
Deathsmiles (EU) Deluxe Edition - £7.99

Play announced that last weekend would be the final weekend for their ‘thousands of items for £XX’ promotions. Guess what? They’re still running. The only one worth mentioning is the £10 offer. This is the list of games and hardware that can’t be bought for less than £10.
Bulletstorm (PC)
Call of Duty: World at War
Crysis 2
Gears of War 2 Complete Collection
• Kamikaze Dual Kinect Dual TV and Wall Bracket
Resonance of Fate

Play’s deals of the week should be renamed ‘permanent deals that we don’t want to put anywhere else’. The King of Fighters XIII is £17.99 and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Legacy Edition is £7.99.

Shopto’s latest initiative is a Ball Tingler sale, focusing on more recently released titles as well as older titles.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - £24.85
Knights Contract - £7.85
NeverDead - £14.86
Red Faction: Armageddon Commando & Recon Edition - £7.85
UFC Undisputed 3 - £24.85

TheHut’s Super Six deals only creates one discount codes this week for people who intend to spend a fair amount of money. Save £10 when spending £100 with the code LEAPYEAR100. The one thing that is of more use though is the long list of discounted games that falls under the Super Six deals this week.
