Philadelphia, PA. postman Reginald Johnson looks to be spending the next 12 to 18 months behind bars after an FBI sting operation into stolen Gamefly video game discs. After a surveillance operation, Johnson attempted to evade Federal officers and fled, leaving behind a duffel bag containing 81 Gamefly games and an SUV containing another 79 games and game peripherals.
All told, Johnson is charged with stealing 2,200 video games and will likely face 12 to 18 months in prison when sentenced.
The investigation was initiated back in 2007 by subscriber complaints in the Philadelphia area, and ended with bogus mailings by the FBI to catch Johnson in the act.
All I can say is: That's it? 12 to 18 months?
Should be more like 12 to 18 years! Don't mess with my Gamefly!
At any rate, Mr. Johnson's stamp is now canceled. Check the external link for the full article from GameInformer.
